Still photo from Lars Von Trier's "Melancholia"
For 10 days I have been doing a 10-day films challenge on Facebook. Some people have said to me that they cannot figure out the title of the film just by the picture or by my depictions and explanations of what it meant to me. So I will reveal them here now.
Day 1 - Westworld Season 3 (2020)

Day 2 - Ugetsu 雨月物語 (1951年 -溝口健二)
Day 3 - Hideous Kinky 『グッバイ・モロッコ』(based on Esther Freud's semi-autobiographical novel. ) A 1998 movie directed by Scottish director Gillies MacKinnon. The actress Kate Winslet began to champion a lot of independent arthouse cinema as soon as she got the fame and position to do so from her acting in 1998's "Titanic". There are many films that could have never seen the light or achieved the recognition it did without the participation and encouragement of Kate Winslet. Such films include "Revolutionary Road" and this one. The photography in this film is so beautiful, you can get lost in it. It is about a woman of the hippie generation, who goes to Morrocco with her two children without a plan or strategy, hoping for a non-Western spiritual enlightenment. She discovers Sufism and a handsome man played by Said Taghmaoui, but also a life of hardships. This is a film about self-discovery. In the end, she comes to realize that home is the best place. The music is wonderful. It features Moroccan traditional music including a Sufi trance dance and music by Nick Drake, The Incredible String Band, Richie Havens, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash.
